Katja Koren, Director of Banking Operations Department at Bank of Slovenia

Ms Katja Koren is Director of Banking Operations Department at Bank of Slovenia. She is responsible for the management of the following areas: asset management, risk management, monetary policy implementation and collateral management, back office and banking for customers. Ms Koren joined Bank of Slovenia in 1998. At the beginning of her career, she was involved in the management of Bank of Slovenia's foreign reserves as portfolio manager. From 2005 until 2014, Ms Koren was responsible for the central bank's asset management activities as Head of Investment desk. In addition to asset management, she later on (until 2017) took over the monetary policy operations area as Head of Market Operations Division. Ms Koren holds Masters of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Finance from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics.
